Ebay India: Bat against Murali - the world's highest wicket taker!

Ace offspinner Muttiah Muralitharan, currently the highest wicket taker in Tests, is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bat against him!

On December 3, 2007, Murali dismissed Paul Collingwood during England's first innings in Kandy to take his 709th wicket, breaking Shane Warne's record of 708 Test wickets.

You too can face the most successful bowler in cricket history by bidding on a special auction on eBay India . Murali has decided to offer this unique opportunity to his fans to raise funds for his own charity, the Foundation of Goodness. The auction, starting on December 4th, will be live until December 11th.

The highest bidder will face 10 deliveries from the master spinner on December 16 at the Seenigama Oval in Galle, two days prior to the third test.

Get ready to face Murali as he unveils his full range of tricks, including his off break, top spinner, doosra and the new flipper.

To add to the occasion, Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene will be standing at slip and Kumar Sangakkara will be keeping wickets, just like at any Sri Lanka Test match over the years.

To remember this memory for posterity, the event will be photographed. And that's not all – you also get one of his personally owned Sri Lanka jersey and an autographed ball.

All the funds raised by the online auction will be donated to the Foundation of Goodness, a registered grassroots charity committed to creating better opportunities for the disadvantaged rural children and youth, affected in the 2004 tsunami. The charity is currently active in 25 villages in the south of Sri Lanka .
